About Us

Kocasinan Guidance and Research Center is a state institution affiliated to the Ministry of National Education.

We identify people´s abilities and needs (ages between 0 and 99) and we make individualized training programs to support the educational, cultural and social needs of our students. In addition, we are responsible for the development of practical skills of school counselors in our region. Therefore, our target audience is people with special needs, parents and teachers. We organize different seminars, group work and experts from around the world for this population.

Our business areas:

• We conduct different skill tests to identify people with special needs.
• We organize structured group guidance sessions for parents of children with special needs and also provide information on the rights of these individuals and their parents.
• Talented children, children with attention and hyperactivity disorder, mental retardation etc. we give seminars to teachers and school administrators on other related topics.
• We monitor the school processes of children with special educational needs and guide their students.
• We make school visits for classes that provide special education for children with special needs and also consult with the teachers of these students.
• We prepare reports for children with special needs in order to benefit from the support training rooms.
• The National Agency, the National Development Agency, Youth and Sports, Ministry of Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey, we apply local institutions funded projects.
• We conduct research on improving the quality of education in the central district and the other 9 districts within the responsibility area of our center.
• We support students and their parents by providing vocational and educational guidance.
• We provide family guidance services to families in order to provide them with the information they need and gain the necessary skills.
• We prepare and share materials such as posters, brochures, books and magazines in the subjects covered by our institution.
